Impact Assessment of Electric Vehicle Charging in an AC and DC Microgrid: A Comparative Study

چکیده
This paper presents an in-depth comparison of the benefits and limitations using a low-voltage DC (LVDC) microgrid versus AC with regard to integration low-carbon technologies. To this end, novel approach for charging electric vehicles (EVs) on distribution networks by utilizing LVDC backbone is discussed. The global aim conducted study investigate overall energy losses as well voltage stability problems microgrids. Both architectures are assessed compared each other performing power flow analysis. Along line, actual network various penetration levels EVs, combined photovoltaic (PV) systems battery storage considered. Obtained results indicate significant quality improvements in imbalances conversion thanks proposed backbone. Moreover, concludes discussion impact level EVs PVs degrees efficiency, besides levels’ local self-consumption reduction studied system. outcomes can provide extensive insights hybrid EV infrastructure designers holistic manner all aspects.
